Faith-based Charity

This UK faith-based charity – including bible college, churches, annual family camp (circa 5000 campers), media department, conferences and bookshop – was running fifteen separate sets of accounts on personal accounting software for its departments.

The Journey

  • Identified project goals with the senior leadership team.
  • Recruited and established a new finance team.
  • Implemented new accounting software.
  • Consolidated the separate ledgers into one reporting structure.
  • Created management reporting for the organisation, departments and funds.
  • Developed new financial operating procedures.
  • Implemented an asset register and a donor management database.
  • Automated manual processes to release resources.
  • Arranged for the Trust deed to be updated including the incorporation of Trustees.
