Faith-based Charity
This UK faith-based charity – including bible college, churches, annual family camp (circa 5000 campers), media department, conferences and bookshop – was running fifteen separate sets of accounts on personal accounting software for its departments.
The Journey
- Identified project goals with the senior leadership team.
- Recruited and established a new finance team.
- Implemented new accounting software.
- Consolidated the separate ledgers into one reporting structure.
- Created management reporting for the organisation, departments and funds.
- Developed new financial operating procedures.
- Implemented an asset register and a donor management database.
- Automated manual processes to release resources.
- Arranged for the Trust deed to be updated including the incorporation of Trustees.
- Worked with the Chief Executive to produce a financial restructuring plan.
